Round 2 preview: The Science of Cocktails

Round 2 of the DrinkHQ Cocktail Mastery Championship, Season 2027–28, is The Science of Cocktails: Precision Meets Experimentation. It runs on Monday 2 August 2027 at 7:00 pm in Melbourne. The venue will be announced.

How the night works

Bar teams take the stage in turn and build their drinks live against the round’s brief. A judging panel scores every drink, and everyone in the room, plus Cocktail Connoisseur and Liquid Luminary members, gets one People’s Choice vote before the round winner is named.

Tickets go on sale on the round page. Connoisseurs Club members get admission to every round and a complimentary round-theme cocktail.

DrinkHQ Magazine Issue 2 goes on the bar four days before the round, with the theme, the teams and the recipes.
